Andre Russell blames team management’s bad decision making for six match losing streak

Kolkata Knight Riders started their campaign in a tremendous fashion at the beginning of the ongoing IPL season. But down the line, the team’s performance declined and the team started to lose its focus and as a result, KKR is now riding on a six-match losing streak.

All-rounder Andre Russell who is the team’s leading scorer and has the cricket fans glued to their TV screen with his amazing batting throughout the tournament. His capability to hit big shots at any time during the match was key to KKR winning matches.

But now that the team has lost six straight matches, Russell has blasted the team management’s bad decision making.

We have a good team but if you make bad decisions then you will always lose games and that’s what we’ve been doing. If we had enough time, I could pinpoint a few games where if we just looked to bowl tighter in areas or bring in right bowlers at the right time, we could have won,” Russell said a day ahead of their match against Mumbai Indians. “As a professional cricketer, to be in this position is not the most healthiest position. In terms of decision, we have been bowling wrongly at the wrong time, that’s what been causing for us to keep losing in simple ways.”
