Irfan Pathan becomes the fourth cricketer from Road Safety World Series to test positive for COVID-19

COVID-19 has resumed infecting people in full swing as another India Legends player who has featured at the Road Safety World Series tournament has tested positive for the deadly virus and he is none other than Irfan Pathan. On Saturday, Sachin Tendulkar has announced that he had been tested positive for the virus, and soon it followed by the announcements from Irfan's brother Yusuf Pathan, and S Badrinath as well.

"I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantined at home. I would request those who came in contact with me in recent past to please get themselves tested. Urging all to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Wishing you all good health," Irfan posted on social media.

Meanwhile, former India and Tamil Nadu batsman S Badrinath has also been tested positive for COVID-19 and he becomes the third player from the India Legends team for the just concluded Road Safety World Series to have been affected by the deadly virus. On the other hand, both Sachin Tendulkar and Yusuf Pathan had shared the news with everyone on Saturday that they too were infected and had been in the home isolation as well.

"I've tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest," Yusuf wrote on Twitter.

as far as the tournament was concerned, India Legends had won the title under the leadership of Tendulkar, beating Sri Lanka Legends in the final as well. The entire tournament was played with people in the stands where very few people used masks and maintained social distancing in Raipur. While the BCCI had organised the T20I series against England behind the closed doors in Ahmedabad, the Road Safety Series continued with the crowd in Raipur, which likely to have made things worst.
