Hakim Ziyech has been one of the standout performers in this season’s Ajax’s push for three trophies. Yes , you read that right – three trophies. The Dutch giants are competing for the league, the domestic cup and surprisingly the UCL’s last four.
Ziyech has contributed 19 goals and set up 20 for Ajax. The Moroccan has impressed fans and neutrals throughout the season and now finds himselfs in the scouted shortlists for Manchester United, Liverpool , Arsenal and Manchester City.
Contract-rebel Ilkay Gundogan is vying his way out of Manchester and Ziyech could be most likely the like for like replacement.
“There is no decision yet, otherwise I would have signed or rejected a contract,” Gundogan said.
“We’re still in talks, but I don’t feel there is much pressure. Obviously, one day there has to be a decision, but I’m very happy here and playing under Pep.
“This is something everyone has to decide for themselves. I’m 28 years old, so my next contract will maybe decide where I will be for the end of my career.
“Everyone feels different. Maybe someone has an inner feeling in his self to go for a new challenge or to change something. I’m always open-minded for challenges.”
