Eden Hazard started in this match for the Blues after coming back from injury. Though he was sunbed off at the 61st minute of the match. Olivier Giroud scored the only goal of the match at the 52nd minute mark from the cross provided by Emerson Palmieri. However, the Blues were extremely lucky not to concede a goal in this match as Bate Borisov hit the bar three times.

The home team was much impressive than their previous meeting against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. They pressed hard till the end of the match and caused a lots of problems in the Chelsea Goal. Maurizio Sarri had to bring in Mateo Kovacic in the second half of the match in place of Ruben Loftus Cheek to take the control of the midfield. Bate Borisov were desperate to snatch at least one point from this encounter; but this was certainly not their day. Chelsea will now face Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League.
