The Serie A has always been infamous in its exhibition of ferocity by the fans. In present days, a host of Nazi symbolism, such as swastikas, Roman salutes, Celtic crosses, Wehrmacht eagles, have been prevalent during the matches. Now, the Bianconeri ultras have taken it a step ahead, with the recent discovery of an “Arsenal” of weapons from Qatar, raided by the Turin police.

In the big action, prepared by the Italian police for almost a year, this morning, the police raided various places connected with Juventus ultras. Next to the knives, machete, assault rifles, the police also found a rocket from Qatar! pic.twitter.com/YBwPtAxWZE— Casual Ultra (@thecasualultra) July 15, 2019
The raids, carried out by the Divisione Investigazioni Generali e Operazioni Speciali or DIGOS, led to arrests of three of these “Ultras”- one of them is Fabio Del Bergiolo, a member of ‘Forza Nuova’, a Neo-Nazi political party based in Italy.
Turin’s DIGOS, Carlo Ambra said in a statement: “Connections were found between these Neo-Fascist and Neo-Nazi groups and ultras groups, in particular, Juventus and the Drughi Giovinezza section.
“There are also connections with more traditional Juventus fan groups and other far-right militants.”
@360Sources posted a video on their twitter handle, where the police are shown to observe a missile- one of the objects found in the raid.

Several retweets followed up on the incident.
@VictorDavid__ mocked English side Arsenal, saying that the Old Lady’s ultras have a higher budget than the Gunners.
I can’t believe that Juventus ultras have a bigger budget than Arsenal

@robin_grant_85 took an opportunity to bash UEFA for their history of terming Premier League fans problematic.
And Uefa think English fans are problematic?! 😳

This incident is an addition to the list of examples of how dangerous the far-right Italian groups are, along with the huge percentage of racism still evident among the fans- Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly became a victim of racial slur ‘monkey chants’ last year.
